Actary help

Better recordings.
Clearer minutes.

Practical guidance for your meetings, recordings and documents.

How can I record a clearer meeting?

Tell participants why you are recording and how the recording will be used. Place your device near the group on a stable surface, away from background noise and speakers. Record a short test and check that everyone can be heard.

Start by stating the date, place, meeting title and attendees. Speakers should say their name and take turns. Announce each agenda item and read out the final decision, responsible person and deadline. Clearly state the proposal and final count for each vote.

Stating names helps you review the transcript but does not guarantee automatic speaker identification. Listen again to any uncertain sections.

Do I need an account? Where is my data stored?

No registration is required. Your meeting content is stored on your device. Regularly export organizations and documents to keep copies. Check your copies before uninstalling the app.

What is included for free and in Actary Pro?

The free version allows one organization and up to three meetings, including PDF export. Pro removes these limits with a one-time purchase. There is no subscription or advertising. Reaching a limit does not hide or delete your existing meetings, recordings, signatures or documents.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Settings in Actary, select Actary Pro and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account used for the purchase. If a transaction is pending, allow Apple to complete it before trying again.

What if recording or transcription does not work?

Check microphone and speech recognition permissions in device Settings. Make sure there is free storage, the recording plays correctly and the selected language matches the audio. On-device transcription depends on Apple support for the device and language and may need a speech resource download. Keep the original audio.

Are generated minutes final or legally certified?

No. Review attendance, names, amounts, dates, decisions and votes. Correct and approve the text using your organization's procedures. A signature drawn in the app must not be confused with a qualified electronic signature. Automatic decision and task suggestions are currently validated for Spanish; other languages require manual review and entry.

How do I export or send minutes?

Use the meeting's PDF export option and the system share sheet to save to Files or send with another app. Organization export lets you retain additional content and choose whether to include audio. Check files and recipients before sending.

Can I protect access to the app?

Settings offers optional protection using Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode, depending on your device.
